Are Lift Kits Illegal in Trinidad and Tobago ? Licensing Office releases guidelines for lifting vehicles!

As of January 26th, 2024, the licensing authority of Trinidad and Tobago has issued comprehensive guidelines pertaining to the modification and elevation of vehicles specifically designed for off-road use. This landmark development marks a historic moment, as it signifies the first instance in the Caribbean region where a country has publicly acknowledged the permissible modification of lifted vehicles, thereby laying the groundwork for future advancements in the realm of motorsports throughout the Caribbean.

This significant achievement has been the culmination of dedicated efforts by a strong offroad team from various shops and garages in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Off-Road Association (TTORA). Working closely with the Transport Commissioner and his team, we successfully contributed to the formulation of these guidelines. The overarching objective of these guidelines is to streamline processes and enhance overall convenience for all stakeholders involved.
